7 Signs of a Difficult House

Available as an ON Demand Webinar

Register for the course and you will receive an email with a link to the recorded video and a link to a quiz for your course completion certificate.

This course is worth 2 credit hours.

    Presenter: Colin Dumais

Wouldn’t it be great to have the benefit of hindsight after completing a difficult job that took way more time and effort than you had anticipated?  Join us for “7 Signs of a Difficult House” where we will talk about clues you can look for which may indicate a tricky mitigation.  If you know it’s a tricky job from your walk-through you can price it accordingly, set the customers expectations and have a “plan B” worked out in advance which is much better than losing money, undershooting customer expectations and having unexpected scope creep.  This should be a fun and interactive discussion so please share your “clues” in the after discussion!

Recorded April 22 as part of the CARST2020 Online Conference.

Join BOMA Calgary on November 3rd for our second webinar on workplace safety and learn how to develop your own radon management program!

    Panelists:

Curt LaMontagne, Principal Consultant - C5 PLUS LTD.
Pam Warkentin, Executive Director – Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (CARST)
    Colin Dumais, Founder, RadonWest Ltd

November is National Radon Action Month. Radon is a radioactive gas that comes from the ground and is found in almost every building, but not always in elevated levels. To this day, many property management teams and Canadians may be unaware of the risks that radon can pose to their health and to the health of their tenants.

Building on our first webinar in our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) series that focused on Risk Management and EH&S, our second webinar will start conversations on specific topics and provide insights into how to build management programs. This session will provide tools for building managers to build and own radon programs that are specific to their properties. It will provide management information and tips on radon management and highlight the significance of radon testing. The panelists will also provide an introduction and legal obligations around radon, highlight organizations that are available as a resource, provide a basic framework for management planning, and highlight challenges associated with radon management from a contractor’s perspective.
