    Le cours s’adresse particulièrement aux inspecteurs en bâtiment, aux propriétaires et gestionnaires d’immeubles, aux entrepreneurs, aux consultants en environnement, aux responsables de la santé publique, aux professionnels de l’immobilier et aux organismes sans but lucratif œuvrant dans le domaine de la santé.

    Condition préalable au cours Atténuation du radon 
    Il est nécessaire d’avoir suivi le cours en mesure du radon avant de suivre le cours d'atténuation du radon.

    Atténuation du Radon

    Contenu

    •  Introduction aux stratégies d’atténuation du radon
    •  Théorie, diagnostic et conception relativement au système d’atténuation par dépressurisation active du sol
    • Installation du système d’atténuation par dépressurisation active du sol
    • Autres méthodes d’atténuation du radon
    • Réduction des concentrations de radon par élimination des voies d’entrée
    • Réduction des concentrations de radon par purification de l’air intérieur
    • Mesure et atténuation du radon dans l’eau
    • Santé des travailleurs
    • Nouvelles constructions résistant au radon
    • Préparation à l’examen en vue de la certification par le Programme national de compétence sur le radon au Canada (PNCR-C/C-NRPP)

    Les participants ayant suivi le cours et obtenu une note minimale de 70 % à l’examen et ayant complété deux atténuations avec mentorat peuvent faire une demande de certification PNCR-C. Cette certification est reconnue par Santé Canada. Pour plus d’information, aller à http://fr.c-nrpp.ca

    Mentorat

    Ce cours comprend un mentorat pratique à compléter par l'étudiant. Chaque étudiant devra avoir accès à une maison où il installera un système d'atténuation.  Le processus sera guidé par un mentor en ligne et se compose de plusieurs étapes guidées.

    Coût : 2150,00 $ + tx 

    Note: Il y a un nombre minimum de participants requis pour ce cours.  Nous vous confirmerons si le cours aura lieu vers le début octobre.  En plus, si la situation COVID change, le cours aura lieu en ligne au besoin.

    Date : le 20 - 21 - 22 novembre 2024, de 8 h 00 à 17 h 00 en ligne, suivi par une journée au chantier de travail (le 25 novembre), de 8 h 00 à 17 h 00 dans la région de Gatineau
    Lieu : l'adresse exacte sera fourni lorsque la date s'approche - vous pouvez réserver des accommodations à Gatineau et rencontrer Mr Brascoupé au chantier.

    Examen

    L'examen s'ecrit en ligne. Cet examen peut être programmé à la convenance de l'étudiant et sera supervisé par un surveillant en ligne.   Cet examen est nécessaire pour se présenter à la certification PNCR-C.

    Coût : il n'y a pas de frais supplémentaire pour l'examen

    Formateur
    Marcel Brascoupé est un entrepreneur général travaillant au Québec, spécialisé dans l’installation de systèmes d’atténuation du radon. Il est un professionnel certifié en mesure et atténuation du radon et il est un formateur accrédité par le Programme national de compétence sur le radon au Canada (PNCR-C). Il est par ailleurs l’un des membres fondateurs de l’Association canadienne des scientifiques et technologues du Radon (ACSTR). Il est formateur bilingue.

    Note, the course will include field experience which will be offsite, the offsite location will be close to the classroom location and will be provided to you during the first day of the course.

    This course is Radon Mitigation only, you will need to have completed a C-NRPP approved Radon Measurement course prior to attending this course.  You can find information about C-NRPP approved radon measurement courses here.

    Course Focus:

    Radon awareness is increasing, and with it is the need for properly trained professionals to help homeowners reduce their indoor radon levels.  This course is designed to prepare people to become Radon Mitigation Professionals certified through C-NRPP.  It is based on Health Canada's scientific approach to radon mitigation.  Course participants will be trained in techniques to interpret radon test results, understand radon entry, conduct diagnostic testing and design and/or installation of radon mitigation systems and determine the most effective way to manage radon concentrations within buildings.

    The objectives of the course include:

    • Understanding radon
    • understanding radon entry
    • Site survey in a residential dwelling
    • Communication Test with micromanometer
    • Design of piping and fan fitting
    • Identify difficulties in installation
    • Hands on experience

    This course is essential for: Home Builders, Building Inspectors, Public Health Officials, Plumbers, Architects, Engineers, Building Designers

    This course will prepare you for C-NRPP Certification.  You can find information on the steps and cost of certification here.
