#CARST2018 Speaker Feature: Dr. R. C. Ramola

Initially trained as a radiation physicist with a special emphasis on environmental radiation, Dr. Ramola’s main focus has been the study of radon for uranium exploitation, earthquake prediction and environmental pollution. At this year’s CARST conference, Dr. Ramola will be presenting his study on the Significance of Thoron Measurement in the Indoor Environment. The results of radon and thoron measurements in homes with both high and normal background radiation levels will be presented; measured using both active and passive techniques. A comparison of results using different techniques will also be included.
