Announcing the Radon Reduction Sweepstakes

07 Nov 2017 1:59 PM | CARST (Administrator)

Take Action on Radon (TAOR) and Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (CARST) have partnered to offer a total of $10,000 for a Radon Reduction Sweepstakes

Homeowners that have tested their home for radon and taken action to reduce levels to below the Health Canada recommended guideline of 200 Bq/m3 have a chance to receive a rebate for up to $1,000 towards the cost of the mitigation system installed in their home.

We wanted to let you know about the sweepstakes because we want to make sure you know the rules, so you can provide a proof of installation with complete information, to make sure they qualify for the contest AND so you can use it to promote your services.  We think is a great idea to encourage homeowners to mitigate!!

You can find detailed contest rules on the Take Action on Radon Website.

Please note that each time you promote the sweepstakes, the rules need to be available and clear.  We have taken efforts to ensure the rules meet requirements and they are easily available on the website, so please reference the website link: https://www.takeactiononradon.ca/radon-reduction-sweepstakes-2017 ;

Your customers needs to show Proof of Installation which includes:

  • date of installation,
  • price,
  • the fact that it has been paid,
  • the address of the home where the mitigation was installed
  • the name of the C-NRPP Professional who completed the installation.

We think this is a great opportunity for you to promote your services. We have drafted 2 sample letters for you to send to clients if you choose and a toolkit to help you.
