Expose Radon, The Invisible Killer Radon is the first leading environmental cause of lung cancer and responsible for over 3000 deaths a year in Canada. Canadians are slowly growing in their understanding of radon and how they need to respond to prevent lung cancer for themselves and their family. CARST runs an annual conference as part achieving our goals. This radon conference is an opportunity for sharing ideas, research and developing new methods for increasing radon awareness across Canada. and learn from one another. They have been a place for organizations to share and hear about work of others in the field of radon research, awareness and health. |
CARST Goals To provide a community for education sharing of ideas, resources and research To provide an effective radon partnership between radon professionals in the field and other interested public and private organizations (such as Health Canada, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and others) Promote public awareness of radon measurement, radon mitigation and new construction radon reduction techniques. |
