7th Annual CARST Radon Conference 2018



 

This year’s conference will be held April 22 to 24 at the beautiful Brookstreet Hotel www.brookstreethotel.com in Ottawa.

The theme of this year’s event is An Elemental Approach: Radon in Earth, Air & Water.  

This year we have chosen a location in central Canada to encourage participation from people across the country.

This is a key year in RADON as public interest expands: we need to continue work in radon research and radon awareness. This year's conference will be packed with valuable information for both hands-on radon professionals and those with an interest in increasing their knowledge on current initiatives.


Pre-Conference Activities:

Field Trip: Saturday April 21 8:30am - 4:00pm

A special feature at this year’s conference will be an optional day-long field trip.  Exclusively for CARST members, the field trip will feature a visit to the National Research Council’s radon test facilities, a large building walk-through from a measurement and mitigation perspective, and a hands-on look at radon in water.  Last year’s inaugural field trip was hugely popular and sold out quickly, so sign up early if you don’t want to miss out! Space on the bus is limited.

Continuing Education Courses: Sunday, April 22 8:30am to 5:00pm

As always, there are plenty of fascinating continuing education (CE) courses available on the Sunday of the Conference.  We’ll be posting details as the Conference approaches, but be sure to book your arrival in time to take advantage of this training opportunity.
