Join BOMA Calgary on November 3rd for our second webinar on workplace safety and learn how to develop your own radon management program!

Panelists:

Curt LaMontagne, Principal Consultant - C5 PLUS LTD.
Pam Warkentin, Executive Director – Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (CARST)
Colin Dumais, Founder, RadonWest Ltd

November is National Radon Action Month. Radon is a radioactive gas that comes from the ground and is found in almost every building, but not always in elevated levels. To this day, many property management teams and Canadians may be unaware of the risks that radon can pose to their health and to the health of their tenants.

Building on our first webinar in our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) series that focused on Risk Management and EH&S, our second webinar will start conversations on specific topics and provide insights into how to build management programs. This session will provide tools for building managers to build and own radon programs that are specific to their properties. It will provide management information and tips on radon management and highlight the significance of radon testing. The panelists will also provide an introduction and legal obligations around radon, highlight organizations that are available as a resource, provide a basic framework for management planning, and highlight challenges associated with radon management from a contractor’s perspective.
